Todays match at Fir Tree was a hit and miss affair. If you got a good peg, you had chance of a good day, other pegs were less favourable.
You will see that from the weights shown below.
22 Members fished this match, so another great turn out.
'All In' for our usual 5 hour match was at 9.30am and we started under cloudy skies but no rain. After one hour we had constant rain for the rest of the day. A good variety of fish were caught from Common Carp, Ghost Carp, Bream, Barbel, Perch etc etc. However you needed a peg with Carp to get any weight.
The day was brightened up by a supply of hot sandwiches provided by the fishery at a reasonable price it has to be said.
Yet again the 'Golden Peg' remains elusive with Roly aka Paul Rowlands being the unlucky recipient, who finished in 17th place.
Conratulations to all who fished, in particular the top three, Kev, James and Ian respectively.
The next match and the penultimate for this year's Summer League is at Solhampton and it's also the last coach trip of the year. It takes place on Saturday 8th September, we look forward to that one! |
